Zi was born in China and moved to the US when she was 12, spending all her teen years in the east coast. Dustin was born and raised clear across country in San Dimas, California. So it took an English teaching job abroad - at a South Korean elementary school for them to meet and connect! Following the job in Korea, Zi followed Dustin back to California, where they welcomed Baby Girl Bennett. And while enjoying the highs and lows of first-time parenting, diligently prepared for their wedding celebration at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel!

They first met in their 20's when Christina was working at a jewelry store at the mall. Brian happened to walk by the store and looked in and couldn't help but notice Christina. He ended up walking in, talked her up about a watch, and then confessed that he really just wanted to ask her out (something he swears he would normally never do!) Fortunately she said yes. But the story ends short and they would part ways. Fast forward present time, fate would bring them back together and this time around a little more older, a lot wiser... the two FINALLY celebrate a very special wedding day!

Linda was a bride after my own heart, always so organized and detailed and Bao had such a big, warm contagious smile that made every planning meeting so enjoyable!
The end result of all their efforts was a ultra chic and sophisticated wedding at the uber stylish London West Hollywood.

The wedding of Tracie and Joe was not only a celebration of their marriage, but also the day they (and their family and friends!) would find out whether the couple would be having a boy or girl! With only Rita from M Cake Sweets and myself in on the secret, it definitely was the most anxious and anticipated cake cutting ceremony ever! The pictures speak for themselves to see the look of surprise, joy, excitement... seriously such a fun moment!!!
Most special was to see these two families come together and show off their obvious bond!
Happy wedding day to Tracie and Joe and looking forward to the arrival of your... baby girl =)!

Our first blog post for 2016 (hopefully not our only post!) features Lindsay & Charles' wedding at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel!
It may sound redundant and a bit cliche, but really I wish all my couples were like them and all my weddings were like theirs! I loved that we had a commonality in being fans of Game of Thrones and probably the one stand-out bonding moment was when Lindsay and I discovered COMPLETELY randomly that my first "boyfriend" in elementary school (in SoCal) and her first boyfriend (years later in northern California) were brothers!!! (Sorry Charles to bring this up here!) But how random is that?! Truly we were meant to be!
I give full credit to this awesome couple and our great team of vendors for producing such a fun and incredible wedding day!
And one day I hope to take over Lindsay's fabulous shoe collection! :)

Can't say enough about how much fun it was to plan for Jane & Andy's wedding. Our first consult included not just the couple, but also in attendance were Jane's mom, two cousins and aunt! Yes, initially a bit intimidating... but as the planning progressed, each session (with the same group of people!) was even more entertaining and enjoyable than the one before! We had a blast preparing for this wedding and there is no way you can't love Jane & Andy. Jane especially knew the way to my heart, and got me a bag full of k-pop goodies! haha! I would gladly re-live this whole process over and over and the only bad part of it all was that the planning came to an end! Even from their wedding day alone, there were so many fun moments and memories, it's a challenge narrowing down the number of images to share!

As Southern California is recently (and FINALLY) enjoying some winter-like weather, Daisy and Steve's all indoor winter wedding seems to be an appropriate event to feature. Held at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles, the wedding was styled to complement the amazing structure and ambiance of the venue. Lighting played an integral part in creating a vintage glamour vibe from start to finish.
Thrilled to finally share the beautiful images by the late Taek Jun from Daisy & Steve's winter wedding!

The most fitting description for Sara and Micahel's wedding at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach is REFRESHING!
It was truly such a breath of fresh air to have such a refreshing palette of colors, from the bridesmaids bouquets with pops of coral and reception tables showcasing pretty hues of blues and greys against bolder accents of color.
Not to say there is anything wrong with blushes and creams, but after a few seasons of that trend, enjoying a room full of vibrant and cool tone colors was, dare I say it again... REFRESHING! And so fitting to feature during our current summer heat wave!

Extra blog luv for Lindsay and Charles as we share images from their engagement session with John & Joseph Photography. With just a few weeks till their wedding day, Charles graduated from med school in Virginia, they relocated to Michigan, and wrapped up wedding planning back in California... which included a fun afternoon together with their photography team (and a few sea lions)!
p.s. especially luvin' the white Jenny Yoo dress Lindsay is showing off from pictures at the aquarium!
There are not enough words to describe how wonderful I think these two are!
Day ONE of becoming mister and missus may have passed and wedding planning has officially come to an end, but as Lindsay and I have self-declared "sister-ship" (along with me being completely infatuated with a few pairs of her shoes - including the ones you see here!), I know it is just a matter of time before having fun together again!
Enjoy the wonderful same-day edit by Chris Ace Films, sharing all the highlights of Lindsay and Charles' amazing wedding day!
Whitney and Greg were a dream couple! It's obvious these two make a pretty awesome looking pair :), but they are also incredibly thoughtful, geniune, and so much FUN! So we are super thrilled to be able to re-live their amazing day through their wedding feature on Style Me Pretty California. And even more excited that they will be welcoming baby Peyser in a few months! Congratulations again Mr. & Mrs. Peyser!!!

Following today's 80 degree Christmas in Southern California, thought it would be season appropriate to share this winter-ish display from Amenda & Andy's wedding at the Pacific Club, Newport Beach! The bride was not one to shy away from color and loved the boldness of cobalt, which she paired with black, hot lipstick pink and classic white. There were so many fun surprises for guests as well as for the couple to enjoy throughout the evening... and with rain and cold weather past the ballroom doors, it provided even more incentive to keep the fun lasting all night!

Daisy not only has the most refreshing smile, but Steve has an equally sweet smile and it's very understandable why Daisy would find him so huggable and loveable! =) These beautiful images from Daisy & Steve's engagement session by Taek Photography also capture some gorgeous scenery. We can't wait for their wedding celebration in a few weeks to close out 2013!
Diamonds, Sparkles and Pearls and all of Audrey’s charm and glamour were channeled into the look and personality of Mariam’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed bridal shower.
Knowing the bride had an affinity towards all of the above and was quite the “girly girl” at heart, sister of the bride and event host Angela was inspired to modernize this classic theme for the bride-to-be and guests.

I feel pretty fortunate that most of our couples fall within the description "chill and easy-going". Rosy & Brad were no exception, and it might even be tough for anyone to challenge them for the top spot in this department! Which made planning and preparing for their day all the more fun and enjoyable!
Usually when a bride says she wants to create her own stationery, it is one thing I try to dissuade them from pursuing. Either that, or they quickly pass the baton once they start the process. But there was no need to wave red flags at Rosy as she maneuvered effortlessly around illustrator and successfully created all her stationery pieces! And not being satisfied with the jar options availablef for sand ceremonies, Rosy came up with her own, more personal keepsake container to use. (Did I mention Rosy is a FIDM grad and creatively gifted?!)
I'm honored that after seven years of dating, I was a part of the day that started their next phase as a couple! While we may not have the wedding to keep us messaging each other constantly, love that we still "check-in" via Instagram! And thanks to them, I now have a go-to local Japanese restaurant I can enjoy!!! :)
p.s. check out the photobomb by Rosy's neice! luv it!

Weather reports forecasted rain (which they actually weren't wrong about!) but things quickly cleared for the afternoon and it was a picture perfect ceremony for Jennee & Ben's wedding at the St. Regis Monarch Beach!
Guests enjoyed a beautiful sunset during cocktails before being escorted into the dinner reception, highlighted in romantic shades of purples, blues, and silvers. An amazing coursed dinner followed by lots of dancing, including some throwback music to the "vintage" era of the 90's, and late night snacks kept everyone happy till the last song of the night.
Jennee & Ben were seriously the most chill, easygoing, and efficient bride and groom... every planner's ideal couple (smile!) Which makes it even nicer that we now live only a few blocks away from each other!
** This post is in loving memory of Jennee's dog, who passed the day they were leaving for their honeymoon... the most sweetest chihuahua, who lovingly watched Jennee getting ready on her wedding day **

The Korea Food Foundation is an institution registered by the Korean government, created for the sole purpose of promoting and expanding Korean food. Definitely something I can appreciate!
We had the pleasure of collaborating with several amazing partners to launch the foundation's Los Angeles press dinner as a featured destination on their extensive global media campaign. Granted it was all about the food, but Mille Fiori and Wildflower Linens transformed the space into an elegantly modern dinner setting, using traditional Korean inspirations. While guests dined on fine Korean cuisine, their cultural experience was further enhanced by the custom details arranged by our fabulous team!
